Q.1 Discuss in detail the six factors that can influence the selection of news.

Answer: – 1. The influencer’s power to influence depends on two factors:

  1. Credibility: The influencer’s expertise in a specific domain of knowledge.
  2. Bandwidth: The influencer’s ability to transmit his expert knowledge through a social media channel.
  3. The target’s likelihood to be influenced by a specific influencer depends on four factors:
  4. Relevance (the right information): How closely the target’s information needs coincide with the influencer’s expertise. If the information provided by the influencer is not relevant, then it is just spam to the target and will be ignored.

Q.2 what is objectivity ? Discuss its shortcomings .

Answer: – Objectivity is a central philosophical concept, related to reality and truth, which has been variously defined by sources. Generally, objectivity means the state or quality of being true even outside of a subject’s individual biases, interpretations, feelings, and imaginings. A proposition is generally considered objectively true (to have objective truth) when its truth conditions are met and are “bias-free”; that is, existing without biases caused by, feelings, ideas, etc. of a sentient subject. A second, broader meaning of the term refers to the ability in any context to judge fairly, without bias or external influence (see journalistic objectivity); this second meaning of objectivity is sometimes used synonymously with neutrality.

Q.3 Discuss the six human sources of news.

Answer: – 1. Water

Freshwater only makes 2.5% of the total volume of the world’s water, which is about 35 million km3. But considering 70% of that freshwater is in the form of ice and permanent snow cover and that we only have access to 200,000km3 of freshwater overall, it isn’t surprising that demand for water could soon exceed supply. The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations is predicting that by 2025, 1.8 billion people will be living in countries or regions
