Ans:  Quality control vs. quality assurance:

 

The terms “quality assurance” and “quality control” are often used interchangeably to refer to ways of ensuring the quality of a service or product. The terms, however, have different meanings.

Assurance: The act of giving confidence, the state of being certain or the act of making certain.

Quality Assurance: The planned and systematic activities implemented in a quality system so that quality requirements for a product or service will be fulfilled.

Control: An evaluation to indicate needed corrective responses;

 

 

Q. 2 Explain the steps of an organizational change model.

 

Ans :  Step of the organizational change model :

 

The concept of “change management” is a familiar one in most businesses today. But, how businesses manage change (and how successful they are at it) varies enormously depending on the nature of the business, the change and the people involved. And a key part of this depends on how far people within it understand the change process. Here we are discussing Lewis change management model.

Ans:  Role of inspection in quality management :

 

Critical appraisal involving examination, measurement, testing, gauging, and comparison of materials or items. An inspection determines if the material or item is in proper quantity and condition, and if it conforms to the applicable or specified requirements. Inspection is generally divided into three categories: (1) Receiving inspection, (2) In-process inspection, and (3) Final inspection. In quality control (which is guided by the principle that “Quality cannot be inspected into a product”) the role of inspection is to verify and validate the variance data; it does not involve separating the good from the bad.

 

 

Q. 4 Explain the five elements of six sigma .

 

Ans : Five elements of six sigma :

 

The management strategies like the Total Quality Control, Total Quality Management and Six Sigma are different from each other. As far as Six Sigma is concerned, there are five elements which govern the implementation strategy of this methodology. They are top management commitment, training schemes, project team activities, measurement system and the stakeholder involvement. Here, the stakeholders include the employees, owners, suppliers and customers.

 

 

Q. 5 Explain errors of measurement and describe the types of sampling risks.

 

Ans :  Errors of measurement and controls:

 

In statistics, a null hypothesis is a statement that the thing being studied produces no effect or makes no difference. An example of a null hypothesis is the statement “This diet has no effect on people’s weight.”
